The Pepsi Challenge
Consider the patriotism of these fine people as they raise their hands to honor the dignity of our great nation during the national anthem ceremony.
As it happened, they were misled to believe they were voting their preference for Pepsi, the sponsoring company, when in fact most of them drank Coke. (A few were said to prefer Dr. Pepper.)
None of this has anything to do with actual taste preferences or beliefs or integrity, or honorable notions, or any judgmental valuations at all, good or bad. They just wanted to make a splash and earn some easy money. If you look closely, you may see a few people in the stands, but it's hard to tell. Pepsi can photoshop the fans in later.
